The library has become increasingly noisy in the last couple of days. Not from its "inhabitants" though - only a handful of students are utilizing it to begin with. The din actually came from the floor ABOVE the library. [To the uninitiated, IMU has begun its major 'face-lift' operation in the last week or two, in which a new floor (and roof) will be added on top of the existing architecture, and a brand new six-storey administration building will be built on the ground where the flag-poles currently are.]
Picture yourself, initially bursting with enthusiasm and energy, attempting to concentrate wholly on your "Anatomy of the precordium" lecture notes, whilst something above rumble and crash (literally with a Bang!) every three minutes....
Oh, and did I mention that the library floor also vibrates everytime something crash?
Heck, I'm now more preoccupied with morbid thoughts of ceilings and walls caving in (touch wood) than my CVS plenaries whenever I am in the library!!!
It is no longer an ideal place to be now, isn't it?
I guess I have to start finding another place where I can concentrate properly.... =(
