HER SANCTUARY ♥

And so the reproductive assessment has come to pass after a fleeting (and somewhat 'hazy') five-week system course. It was horrid....to me at least. This is one paper (I know) that will not make the 65-mark-cut-off point. (To the uninitiated, IMU's passing score is 65 and above) Oh well, my bad....

I solemnly swear that THIS shall NOT happen again!!!

On a lighter note....

My family returned to Teluk Intan again, this time on Christmas Eve. Although our stay was relatively short (read: 3 days), it was nevertheless an event worth remembering, not only because it coincided with Christmas, but the fact that most of my relatives were there! Considering that my paternal family side is an extensive one [my father has eight living siblings altogether; all but one married and had children], and many had migrated overseas (ranging from Melbourne to Arizona), this was certainly one of the RARE occasions where we all could meet up and make merry!! To top it off, my grandmother was relatively well (and very happy) throughout our stay!!!

So what have I been doing in grandmother's home/Teluk Intan:

1. Walking down memory lane

After much persuasion, Dad finally rummaged an old family cupboard and found two photo-albums, chock-full with photographs of his childhood and hey-days. Dad in bell-bottoms? Tight-fitting shirts? Thick-rimmed frame, and tinted glasses? Almost-shoulder-length hair? By George, Dad was HOT!!
And so were my uncles and aunts!!!

I swear they are one good-looking family!!!! HONEST!!! =D

[NOTE: will try to hook up a few family photographs here once I get a hold on them...you'll soon see what I mean. *winks*]

2. Wake up and smell the roses...literally

One of my cousins went up to Cameron Highlands and brought a bunch of roses down for my grandmother. Call me an old-fashioned, corny, romantic crack-pot, but THOSE BLOOMS ARE TO DIE FOR!!! I've never seen anything so beautiful in recent months!!!! From the silk-like petals, amazing palatte of colours (deep yellow, peach, orange, pink, lilac, muave and violet) to the wonderful scent, it's simply cathartic! And only RM6.00 for 25 stalks! Now how's that for a bargain? =p

3. Finger-drills

The piano at grandma's had definitely done wonders to me. The old chum successfully rekindled my love for music, despite having more than half of its keys being either off-pitch or 'muffled'! **Coupled with my oh-so-rusty-skills, I've practically butchered Canon in C major (Pachebel), Chariots of Fire (Vengelis) and Sentimental (Kenny G) in the last two days of my stay!!
That's a start nonetheless - to greater things, perhaps? =)

Who would have thought that objects, not living entities - could give you such satisfaction/consolation sometimes?

**My music instructor would have died of hysteria if she heard me play then....=p

There are a lot more things I would like to share here, but considering that my lil' bro's been pestering me to watch "Giligan's Island" together for the last 1 1/2 hours, I better end here first. Will be adding more to the list above soon. hehehe.

CHEERS!!!! =D
